Status Scientific Controls are designers and manufacturers of high quality portable gas detectors and fixed gas detection systems with specialised expertise in intrinsically safe and explosion protected equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres.
Our hazardous area products are certified to European standards and to UL standards in North America.
Gas monitoring equipment is desirable and, often mandatory, in a wide range of industries in order to provide both personnel and plant protection. For example, our portable gas detector range of products are ideal for use in confined spaces.
For fixed installations, the Status Scientific Controls gas detection range provides a wide choice of equipment including various fixed gas detector heads and associated environmental monitoring and control units. These include systems for monitoring and control of water disinfection chemical dosing plant, multi-point gas sampling systems and heavy duty gas monitoring systems.
Our products use the very latest gas sensor technology, including miniature infrared gas sensors. The products are further enhanced by the use of the very latest microcomputer electronics and bespoke applications software.

ATEX Quality Assurance Notification
In order to meet the requirements of the European Directive 94/9/EC relating to 'Equipment or Protective Systems or Components intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres' the company holds a Quality Assurance Notification which notifies that it has a quality system that complies with Article IV and VII of the above Directive.
