Portable Gas Detectors
Manufactured by Status Scientific Controls
Status Scientific manufacture high quality Portable Gas Detectors that are used throughout the world in many different industries.
PGD 2 Series - Personal Gas Detectors
The Status Scientific Controls Mentor portable gas detector PGD2 is an intrinsically-safe portable multi-gas instrument for use in Group IIC potentially explosive atmospheres.
PGD 3 Infrared Series
The Status Scientific Controls Mentor portable gas detector PGD3-IR is an intrinsically safe portable multi-gas instrument for use in Group IIC potentially explosive atmospheres. The instrument is intended to be used for the protection of personnel entering or working in an environment where a gas hazard may, or is known to exist.
The nitrogen purging of containers such as storage tanks which normally hold hazardous substances may be necessary in order to permit the safe entry of personnel and/or machinery for cleaning or other maintenance work. The purging is carried out in order to drive out the potentially explosive or toxic atmosphere that would normally exist within the container.
We manufacture portable gas detectors for Nitrogen purging applications based upon the latest miniature infrared gas detector technology.
Biogas Measurement & Analysis
Biogas typically refers to a gas produced by the biological breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Biogas is comprised primarily of methane and carbon dioxide. It originates from biogenic material and is a type of biofuel.
We manufacture portable gas detectors for biogas measurement & analysis applications based upon the latest miniature infrared gas sensor technology.
Status Scientific Controls are able to supply portable gas detector kits (NATO Kits).
Gas Detector Chargers & Accessories
Status Scientific Controls supply Portable Gas Detector Chargers & Accessories.
Portable Gas Detector Testing & Calibration
In order to ensure the safe and accurate operation of Portable Gas Detectors, they need to be periodically calibrated against reference test gases that are traceable to National Physical Laboratory standards.
